I’m Mashayla Graves, a Licensed Esthetician and the Owner & Founder of By Karie Mae, a private studio located in Greensboro, North Carolina, where I specialize in facials, vajacials, and full body waxing. Please review the following policies and important information to ensure the best possible experience during your visit. Pregnancy Policy Your safety and comfort are my top priority. If you are pregnant, please inform me prior to booking your appointment. Some ingredients and treatments may not be safe during pregnancy, so I’ll adjust the service accordingly. Facial and waxing services can still be enjoyed, but with proper precautions and modifications. Punctuality Policy Please arrive on time to receive your full service. A 10-minute grace period is allowed. After that, your appointment may need to be rescheduled or shortened to avoid impacting other clients’ appointments. Repeated tardiness may result in a cancellation fee or refusal of service. For both new and returning clients To ensure the best results and protect your skin, please review the following guidelines before your facial or waxing appointment: • Avoid using exfoliants (including retinol, AHA/BHA products, and scrubs) at least 3–5 days prior to your service. • Discontinue waxing or shaving the area being treated for at least 2–3 weeks before your waxing appointment for optimal results. • Do not tan or use tanning beds 48 hours before and after your appointment. • Inform me of any medications or skin treatments you are currently using (such as Accutane or antibiotics), as they may affect your skin’s sensitivity. • Come with clean, makeup-free skin for facials. • For waxing, ensure the hair is at least ¼ inch in length (about the size of a grain of rice).
